Matt, does the 2004 'Literature Is Entertainment or It Is Nothing' interview by Neddal Ayad include the 'outtakes' available on the site here? I hope so, as those outtakes are my favourite ever Q&A session with Ligotti.

Re: Table of contents for 'Born to Fear: Interviews with Thomas Ligotti'

You know, it's a thrill to see the names "Thomas Ligotti" and "Matt Cardin" on a book in such close proximity to each other!

The book contains the original/"official" version of Neddal's interview. Those outtakes will remain a delicacy reserved for the TLO crowd.

I know what you mean, Jon, since I feel the same way. ;) (But seriously, thanks.)

Re: Table of contents for 'Born to Fear: Interviews with Thomas Ligotti'

Congratulations, Matt. The prospect of having these important texts mustered into a firm hardcover book, including a number of interviews that have yet to see the light of day in English, is really thrilling. Readers are definitely in for a treat with that 2012 Gateavisa interview: even with my broken pidgin Norwegian I found myself much stimulated by Ligotti's answers and insights, as usual.

This book is going to become required reading for fans as well as present and future scholars of Thomas Ligotti's work. I cannot wait.

Re: Table of contents for 'Born to Fear: Interviews with Thomas Ligotti'

I agree that this will be a great resource for fans of Ligotti's work. I especially look forward to the 2012 interviews that I have not read yet.

Does anyone out there have this one:

Potter, Gary D. "A Conversation with Thomas Ligotti", The Point Beyond (1992) [An addendum to a bookseller's catalog.]

If so, perhaps someone could post it now that there is no conflict of interest in doing so.

Thanks

Re: Table of contents for 'Born to Fear: Interviews with Thomas Ligotti'

It looks like you struck gold, Cynothoglys. That would be a great find. I bet not many people have read this interview, let alone own a copy. Some fine sleuthing, sir.

Along with your other post on The Master of the Macabre this has been a fun day for me at TLO. I enjoy this kind of thing. Thanks!
