Re: Ragnarock Now
I live in Iowa city, Iowa, where we nearly got a foot of snow. I had to go to work at the ungodly hour of 3am Wednesday morning. Of course, the plows hadn't yet cleared the streets. I was lucky to make it. On days like that, I dream of either being self-employed as a book dealer (like my father) or that I'll move somewhere warm. For now, the snow has me entrenched.

Re: Ragnarock Now
Today I've discovered that even though I have to walk to work each day over 2 km (that's one way, 4 km incl. return) through a deserted suburban landscape where a trail leading through an overgrown meadow is my only foothold, I can still be exited about snow. Snow makes me brood - not always a good thing, but at least it provides me with some incentives to be creative.
And I love to see snow disrupt everyday routine (not that I like to see it cause too much damage). Time stops. Today is the first real day of snow and I'm back to TLO! | |||||||||||
