Hello everyone!

Looking for vampire stories which were written at the beginning of the 20th century or earlier. I don't care if they aren't widely known.Any suggestions?

Thank you for your responses. As i was searching i found a site called the Vampire Junction and those guys have an incredible list in alphabetical order with every vampire story every written, old and modern.

Dear Doctor Munoz, they already had Olalla and the Beautiful Dead but Wake not the Dead was new to me.

Dear Piranesi i was already familiar with Le Fanu's story as it's quite popular, but thanks anyway.

I figured you were. "Carmilla" certainly deserves its popularity.

By the way, it seems that "Wake not the Dead" ("Lasst die Todten ruhen") has been wrongly attributed to Tieck. Whoever wrote it, its still a wonderful vampire story.

I have just been made aware of Dracula’s Guest and Other Victorian Short Stories, edited by Michael Sims. The collection includes stories by Jean-Baptiste de Boyer, Tieck, Gautier, M. R. James, Mary E. Wilkins Freeman, Tolstoy, J. M. Rymer, Fitz-James O’Brien, Emily Gerard, Stenbock, Bram Stoker, & many others.
