  • Yes, I know I am not very sociable. Not that that matters. What matters now is that I'd discovered a rather strange website through a youtube channel called Nightmare Expo. It felt sort of sketchy at first but the more I looked about, it became completely clear to me that this is simply an independent art project and not some deep-web cult. Its strange though, too strange not to share.

Thanks, as an old [and big] Sinfield & Crimso fan, and of course, RWC, I've been aware of this page for many years. Chris Thill & I discussed it on a KIY panel at the NecronomiCON back in the late 90's. You should post it. There is no lack of specialized subjects here. As quite a few TLO members commented on and seem to be looking for to my upcoming A Season In Carcosa, I'm sure they'd get a kick out the page.BEST! !!Joe
This article is somewhat esoteric, even for this place. The page is but a single section from a larger site dealing with the themes of and inspirations behind some of the symbolic lyrics found throughout the albums of King Crimson. I found it quite by accident while aimlessly browsing through the results of a search spurred by the key phrase- King in Yellow. Possible thematic influences from Robert W Chambers' more bizarre and intense work, as well as fleeting examples from Lovecraft, are explored on the page in question- http://www.songsouponsea.com/Promenade/Yellow.html

Again, something that more than a few here may appreciate, however its specialized enough that I was hesitant to make any kind of thread out of it. I thought you might find it of interest though, assuming you've not already seen it, in light of your apparent knowledge and appreciation of the yellowish mysteries.
Flattered you like the pictures. Here is a slightly sharpend version of one of them.

[laughs] All is well ... I just happen to stray every now and then - or just to forget to log myself off - which leads to an occassional comment in the middle of the night ;)
Do you know the work of Eleni Karaindrou -- her The Weeping Meadows and many others are on YouTube . . .YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

I don't know how to cut and paste these You Tube things in. I'm not very good w/ computers.

I discovered her with The Suspended Step of the Stork back in '92. I often write w/ her music playing in the background, there is a tender beauty and loneliness in her fragile compostions I find relentessly powerful and tramsformational.

    All my beastly best,

    Joe
Thank you, Ligeia. I love Takemitsu --November Steps, Twill By Twilight, and my King In Yellow tale, "Under The Mask Another Mask" was inspired by Abe [the tale is in Blood Will Have Its Season].
You're welcome, G>O>M>E. And welcome to town! You'll like it here. Lots of vEry nice people here!! ! And tons of info . . . enjoy! !!
