  • I liked it, but was not blown away by any means

There are weirder, better, and more visual Ligotti stories out there and ripe for adaptation!
I like those you mentioned but haven't seen many Tarkovskys. Stalker is one of the better films I've seen so I plan to rectify that...

I'm also consistently impressed by Kubrick, Hitchcock, Coen Brothers, and Werner Herzog (I probably enjoy the director himself more than his films)
I haven't watched the intruder yet, but the shorter clips were very effective (my dog responded strangely to the ambient music)

which directors do you like btw?
    glad to hear it
the part you mentioned is a bit of an homage to Polanski's the Tenant- its a great film if you haven't seen it
the novel by Roland Topor is even better and it has an intro by Ligotti

let me know when you get your videos up!
    nope, the midwest.
If I do ever go ahead with filming The Clown Puppet it would be entirely for my own benefit- there are no toes to be stepped on
I would be interested to see other takes on it

by the way, I made film late last year inspired loosely by Ligotti's "The Demon Man"
turned out a bit different than i expected, but it is what it is
    (note the blatant lynch homage/ripoff)

    to balls!
I don't have significant resources, so from the vague plan I had concocted in my head I was thinking that I would use after effects to create the beef pork goat sign. Of course a custom beef pork goat sign would complement my decor...

In the discussions on this forum I've perused concerning Ligotti film adaptations the Clown Puppet comes up consistently...I think it's just a matter of time before someone grows the balls to do it (hopefully me)
    you have me beat
I am stuck with a lowly HV20 with which I have yet to do anything impressive.
I'm considering a film based on the Clown Puppet though- it seems one of the more filmable Ligotti stories

and this is proper conversational ettiquette, carry on
    Thanks, I rather enjoyed that
the table and rolling ball bits resonated especially

    what camera do you use?
