I am curious about your book title, The Mask Behind the Face -- was it inspired by Wilde? Perhaps I am so obsess'd with Oscar that whenever I see a reference to masks I think of him -- but this reminds me of the story told by Ada Leverson, when they were discussing Max, and Wilde suppossedly asked, "When you're alone with him, does he take of his face and reveal his mask?"
