Ligotti: No. For the most part I don't enjoy reading novels, and I'm sure I would not enjoy writing one. My interest as a reader is pretty much restricted to poetry, short stories, and essays. I'm defining 'novel' in this case as an extended prose narrative featuring plenty of naturalistic dialogue and sympathetic contemporary characters. (Thomas Ligotti with Carl T.
