That's disappointing. I heard good things about it and was thinking about watching it, but I will let it slide. It seems to be another wasted opportunity for the Alien universe, as Prometheus, Covenant and Romulus before.

Even though I loved Dune and cannot wait to see the second part, I also consider it a bit of a failure since I think that it mostly appeals to the people that are already familiar with the book. I give it an 8.5 out of 10.

I saw Us by Jordan Peele last night. It is a very good movie, but I think its vagueness brought it down a notch. That said, Lupita Nyong'o is phenomenal.

I finished The Hobbit trilogy today; I skipped the theatrical cuts and went directly to the extended editions. It wasn't as bad as most people say; the first two films were OK, but the third one was kind of a mess and knocked the trilogy down a few pegs.

I watched Based on a True Story (2017) last night. Don't waste your time; it is really boring. I had figured the plot twist out just by watching the trailer; it is that predictable. Eva Green is in it, so at least the film has that going for it.
