With abandoned buildings, I prefer something industrial, but this palace was really impressive. I had to go inside and take a lot of pictures. Here are some of them:

And I would add to this, we can experiment. My style has changed over the years, and it might still change in the future. Maybe the same thing will happen to your style too.

I think you have, in the first two images in particular. I like the play of shadows and light in the first picture, and it looks like double exposure or some similar technique in the second one.

Thank you for your comment, Ironrose. I lower exposure on the camera and then use Google Photos or Pixlr to edit the photos. I usually experiment with brightness, contrast, and saturation. Sometimes they don't need a lot of editing if t's macro photography, for example. But atmospheric pictures...

Thank you for the recommendation. I quite liked the film, especially the editing technique used in it, which was suitably disorienting along with the sound effects.

I tried to adjust brightness afterward, but the pictures looked even worse, somewhat washed out. And yes, it's a water tower. In 2018 there was a fire there, and the building fell into disrepair.

Today, while walking in an unfamiliar part of the city, I happened across an old red tower, and of course I couldn't walk past it without taking a few pictures. I apologize for the quality of these images; I'm not a professional photographer, and it's the best I can do on a gloomy day like today.

I was lucky to come upon a few old buildings this summer. So I had to take some pictures.

Look forward to seeing the pictures! These buildings have a comforting aura of contentment around them, except maybe when they are populated by "human detritus" but that's a different story.
