Finally got round to watching this. Enjoyed it a lot. Turned its low budget into a virtue by relying more on atmosphere and suggestion than sfx and gore.
 
watched this a year or two ago and I still ponder it....even prior to it's reappearance on TLO (although TLO brought it to my attention) - I think (lame as it may seem) part of the attraction to me is the actual spatial distribution and appearance of the house and tunnel - I can picture it like you picture a house you have lived in (I use these as mnemonic devices so they are always semi-present in my memory) - it was depicted in a way that made this easy - maybe it was through the jogging which gave you a good overview of where things were .... anyway stayed with me like few recent films have...I think Nortown and this (Nortown being the classic obviously) suggest a sort of suburban pet shop boys - "run with the dogs tonight" ambience in horror that connects with me ...anyway......have not seen Oculus ..will oculus wreck this memory?
