Der Orchideengarten ( Garden of Orchids)

Re: (Garden of Orchids)

This looks appealing.
Are the books universal sized?
If available direct from the author, is a bundle possible?
When concluded, do you envision a slipcase(s)?
I use the format of a comic book which is the one that works best for the magazine and the only option Lulu offers to me.

I also publish through Lulu because I can keep the costs down for everyone and shipping is not an issue since Lulu publishes in many different countries so most orders are able to ship locally. That is of course a drawback in the sense of Limited Editions or special packages. But for me as a translator/publisher it works quite well since I don't have to deal with anything involving shipping and handling. Everything is simple print on demand. I can put things online and forget about them. A drawback is that I have no other means of advertising or marketing. . .

I am almost certain that at the conclusion of the series [53 issues I believe] that there might very well be a "best of" in some fashion. . . But that is far into the future. I hope this answers your questions. I personally don't have the money to invest in large scale printing efforts and am doing this for the love and not for the money. So I take pride in offering a good product at a good price.

Der Orchideengarten

Hi everyone! I just noticed that this thread is actually under the heading of limited editions. . . and these issues are not limited editions although they are issues of Der Orchideengarten! Could someone let me know the most proper way to move forward with posting about new issues of Der Orchideengarten?

There are only three left in the first year of publication and then I move into volume 2. Should I create a totally new thread elsewhere or continue to use this one? I fully intend to complete all three years worth of this magazine.

The original poster placed Der Orchideengarten in Limited, and I don't see a problem keeping updates in this thread. Other members may weigh in.
Likewise for subsequent volumes. Maintain updates in this Der Orchideengarten thread.
My tuppence of an opinion.
