English translation of Peter Wessel Zapffe's Om Det Tragiske due 2024

The long awaited English translation of Peter Wessel Zapffe’s magnum opus Om Det Tragiske has been completed by American philosopher Ryan L Showler and is due for publication as On the Tragic by Peter Lang Group around late February 2024. This information has been confirmed with me by both the translator and the publisher. I’m told that both David Benatar and Thomas Ligotti have written a forward for the book.
 
This is outstanding news. I have wanted to read this for a long time. I tried to talk ChatGPT into translating some of it for me a while back. It said it was capable of translating it, but it wouldn't because the book was not in the public domain until 60 years after the author's death. Then I said "Don't be like that. I won't tell anyone. It will be between you and me. I'll make it worth your while...wink wink." I was rebuffed in no uncertain terms.
 
I received this reply from the publisher :

“Yes, we can place preorder. Please provide your complete mailing address along with a local phone number(for delivery queries). Also mention the number of copies required. We will place the order for you. The proforma invoice will be sent only when the book is published. Thank you”

The publisher told me they do not have the ISBN yet so cannot take orders. I am asking them if they can put people who are interested on some type of wait list.
 
They do have the ISBN which is 9781636674889 and I did receive confirmation of a pre order from customer services on14/12:

“Order has been paced and you will receive the proforma invoice in the mid of February 2024. Thank you”
