Horror Comics

A sampling of my wishlist.
Reprints and translations of comics you've been longing for

Since I really cant stand the recoloring of DC and Marvel's reprints and believe this regime may never change, I've decided that I really should pick up the remaining afforadble copies of their black&white Essential and Showcase reprints. I'm not expecting them to be amazing as my young self hoped they would be but I still quite like this stuff and have a lot of new curiousity about titles I never checked out like Kubert's Hawkman, the original Doom Patrol, Metamorpho, Brother Voodoo, Atomic Knights, Killraven, Warlock.

And I'm really grateful for the increased availability of silly old golden age comics.

These were pretty good, a cut above most of the other horror comics I came across. I'm not sure about the rest of the series, though. These two might be the only ones I've seen.

I never had any of those but I did see them on occasion, a look at the contents shows a very mixed level of skill and some contributors I'm not familiar with, so I might keep an eye out, though back issue bins are hard to come by and online shops often charge too much.

I recently a got a DC Showcase Presents: Ghosts and this story had the final page missing! Apparently quite a few of the Showcase books do.
Destination Nightmare: Death Held The Lantern High

I like this Redondo piece too.
Destination Nightmare: The Inheritance Of Blood

I liked this comic, but felt a bit letdown because of the hype
