Lemuria Volume I by Karl Hans Strobl

Those interested in Hanns Heinz Ewers will enjoy Lemuria Volume I, a collection of short stories by rival fantasy author Karl Hans Strobl.

This book contains the stories:

The Mermaid

The Witchfinder

At a Crossroads

The Head

The Repulsion of the Will

The Tomb at Pere Lachaise

The Wicked Nun

The Bogomil Stone

The Manuscript of Juan Serrano

Familiar Moves

Of these stories only "The Head" and "The Wicked Nun" were ever translated into English. As always, these are my own translations of these stories. Lemuria is too large to publish in one volume so I am publishing it in several volumes that include other stories by Karl Hans Strobl from "The Crystal Ball and other Stories" and "The Orchid Garden".

I am currently finishing up Lemuria Volume I and should have it available by the end of February. (This month). This will include hard cover, quality paperback, epub and pdf editions.

I reckon I'll take you up on that one.

Is there an epub version of The Sorcerer's Apprentice? I can only seem to find a pdf version in electronic format, which is no use for my device.

Thanks,
Ross

Re: Lemuria Book I by Karl Hans Strobl

I’m pleased to announce that “Lemuria Book 1″ is now available in English for the first time ever!

This is the first collection of short stories by Karl Hans Strobl to have ever been translated into the English language. Karl Hans Strobl was noted for his short fiction, particularly his dark fantasy fiction and “Lemuria” collects some of his finest stories.

You can sense his passion and zest for living in these pages.
These stories come at a time when “Steam Punk” is popular. His stories fit into this genre quite well and it is astonishing how modern and readable these fantastic stories are. As an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy, I’ve become convinced that there is a power and force within these stories that is very hard to find in today’s world.

Stories include: The Mermaid; At a Cross Roads; The Witch Finder; The Head; The Repulsion of the Will; My Adventure with Jonas Barg; The Manuscript of Juan Serrano; Familiar Moves; The Tomb at Pere La Chaise; The Wicked Nun; The Bogumil Stone; Master Jericho

Great work ! I have been wondering if you were still working on Strobl myself.

Will it be available as an Ebook also ?
Sometime this fall I am hoping to make ebooks available through Lulu and also PDF files of Der Orchideengarten. But right now I am focused on producing printed material. My current project is an uncensored translation of "Fire on the Glacier" by Paul Busson and after that "Baphomet" by Franz Spunda.

This new title is available at Lulu.com as hardcover, paperback and epub. Just do a search for Ghosts in the Swamp.

"Ghosts in the Swamp" is a very strange and interesting book unlike any I have ever encountered before. Perhaps it is best described as a story from out of the twilight zone. On one hand it is a dystopian novel of a dying and quarantined Vienna that takes place after World War I. In this respect it is an alternate history fantasy novel that includes elements of science fiction, the supernatural and occultism.

Vienna has become a tourist attraction for rich Americans to visit before it is gone forever. Selina Gulliver, her boyfriend Fred Gregor and her father are tourists in the dying city. That is until Selina is kidnapped by some survivors living in the dead city. Why is the city dying and can it be brought back to life?

In this book we meet several unforgettable characters. Adalbert Semilasso , a young poet, makes a devil’s pact with the great Industrialist Thomas Bezug who has a hobby of collecting people. Unknown to Adalbert, Bezug has also captured his sister Nella as his unwilling mistress. Adalbert falls in love with the Tower Keeper’s daughter Regina, but Bezug’s twisted daughter Elizabeth has her hooks in Adalbert and won’t let him go. In the meantime Thomas Bezug has a plan to take control of the entire world and only the elusive magician Eleagabal Kuperus can stop him and save Adalbert from ruin. This book is translated into the English language for the first time by Joe E. Bandel.

It is available as a hardcover, paperback, and Epub.

In this stunning conclusion to the massive Eleagabal Kuperus story we learn more about the fates of Adalbert Semilasso, Regina his love, Nella, his sister, Elisabeth Bezug, daughter of Thomas Bezug and of course Thomas Bezug himself. Does Eleagabal Kuperus really hold the secret of life and death?

In this conclusion we meet even more interesting people and share triumphs and tragedies in an action paced finale that is almost impossible to put down! An emotionally gripping conclusion!

This classic story is translated into the English language for the first time by Joe E. Bandel.

This is available as a hardcover, paperback or Epub.
