Il Saggiatore, an Italian publishing house, has offered to publish Italian translations of Teatro Grottesco, The Spectral Link and The Conspiracy Against the Human Race.

The Saggiatore publications are still officially tentative, but the deal is in the works.

From Thomas Ligotti:

"Also, a translation of Teatro Grottesco is going to be published in Poland. That’s definite, as is the Italian Grimscribe publication, the French collection, and the Serbian translation of My Work Is Not Yet Done. A large collection of my stories was published in Sweden, if I never mentioned that. The Spanish publisher Valdemar, which published Noctuary, is also going to issue translations of Grimscribe and The Conspiracy Against the Human Race."​

This is all exciting news, and we'll keep you informed with more details as we get them.

The spanish edition of "The conspiracy against the human race" will be out on february 18.

I hope this isn´t the definitive cover.

Wow, that cover is dreadful, and not in a good way. Now I am really glad I bought an English edition.

It really is an atrocious cover.
 
Well, it seems that after True Detective proved plagiarism was cool, everyone is doing it too. But, to be fair, this seems to be a mock cover and nothing else (at least, I hope so).

Valdemar is well known for their high quality editions but i don´t know what happened here.

And... this definitively is the cover for the Spanish edition of TCATHR. What the hell were they thinking? They ripped off a goddamn movie poster!

Someone at Valdemar's facebook page asked if that was seriously the cover, because "that's clearly just the poster of Dead Silence." Valdemar's reply: "And what's wrong with that?"

Excuse me while I sob in a corner somewhere.
 
The worst thing about that cover is that it makes the book seem to be one of those terrible, cheap and disposable horror books so common these days (and in the past too), and not at all related to Thomas Ligotti's work or his brand of horror. It is totally disrespectful.

Fox example, Dead Silence was produced by the same people responsible (or guilty) of the Saw franchise. 'Nuff said.
 
I have just read the Valdemar comments on Facebook and there are a lot of them dissing this cover; nice to see there still is some common sense. I left a comment saying the same I said here.
