Ridley Scott's Star-Studded Post-Apocalyptic Thriller Sets Release Date
A recent update on Ridley Scott's latest post-apocalyptic film, The Dog Stars, has revealed its anticipated release date.
Per Variety, Disney confirmed a release date of March 27th, 2026, for the legendary director of Gladiator and Alien's latest post-apocalyptic film. Based on Peter Heller's 2012 novel, The Dog Stars has already begun production in Italy. The film was initially set to star Paul Mescal, who unfortunately had to drop out of the project due to scheduling conflicts. Instead, the film will star Jacob Elordi of Euphoria and Saltburn fame.
The Dog Stars is additionally set to feature performances from Margaret Qualley, Josh Brolin, Guy Pearce, and the recently confirmed Benedict Wong. The film's plot synopsis reads, "Set in Colorado after the world's population has been ravaged by a pandemic, a man lives a lonesome existence in an airplane hangar with his dog and a dour gunman he has befriended. When a mysterious transmission comes through on the radio while he is flying his old Cessna, it sparks a hunt for the provenance of the sound."
