Preface typo.

Well, first of all I would like to thank Mr. Ligotti for giving all of us the chance to be among the first ones to read this book. My initial impressions of it are of a brilliant, devastating, masterpiece. I haven’t been able to read much of it in the last few days, but what little I have read has been way beyond my expectations.

With that out of the way, I would like to point a typo I noticed on the Preface.

It is not exactly a typo, I just don't know the English name for it: page 11, line 2 reads: "efore I was born...and wished I had not been. For the time being, I would like return..." There should be a "to" between "like return"

Karnos, I must have stared at that sentence for ten or fifteen minutes when I first read it. My mind wanted to make the same change you suggest. I also thought changing "like" to "likewise" would help overcome what seems to be an awkward sentence, but "like" may indeed be a quirky personal choice of Mr. Ligotti's. Believe me, I thought this one through at the time...

Thank you so much for your correction of my absent-minded hand and your right-minded confusion over the construction to which you both referred. My attempt to rectify this problem has resulted in the following:

But I am getting ahead of myself. For the time being, let me return to the above-cited obloquy from a teenage Bahnsen and expand it into another sphere."

I think this does the trick. I hope you'll take the time and trouble should you think otherwise.

I don't know what the hell happened to the rest of my reply, but apparently you can't paste from Word into these boxes. So here's the change:

You can paste Word content direct into the editor, but sometimes it brings too much baggage with it. In your case, the font was set to black, therefore it was invisible on the black background of Resurrection. I cleaned this up. It is because of complications such as this that I may decide to set the system to ignore font color and size changes within posted content.

If you want to strip formatting from a pasted content, highlight the pasted content and click on the top left icon of the message box (A/A with a red "X"). Alternatively, turn off the WYSIWYG mode by clicking on the A/A icon at the top right of the message box before you paste the content. You can set your default preference within User Control Panel-->Edit Options-->Miscellaneous Options-->Message Editor Interface. Alas, with flexibility comes complexity.
