Quivering Bones And Feverish Blood Are The Stuffings Of This Doll

Is this from the definitive edit? Being of (sometimes) exceptional literary memory, I recall a rather different wording in my somewhat tattered trade copy... I cannot check, however, as I've leant it to a friend in need of enrichment.

In any case, a strikingly elegant, evocative passage, even for Tom. Each association is both fantastic and palpable in implication, with a sense of the shared thoughts of two warped minds intermingling in a manner both grotesque and symmetrical. It is vile, delicate and exquisite.

(And in being so, encourages me to be the same... A contagion of sophistication! Let this spread!)

I know for a fact that I transcribed the excerpt from the version reprinted in my copy of The Nightmare Factory which is well-thumbed and tattered, too...
