Requiem Vampire Knight

I will read the rest as soon as I can; I read the first 4 so far. Right now, I am starting Asterios Polyp. Amazing how an artist can change as much as Mazzucchelli did.
 
The artwork is wonderful; I should read more comics like this, like the work of Daniel Clowes, Charles Burns, Chris Ware and Art Spiegelman (besides Maus, I mean).
 
i started reading Requiem because of this thread. I like that you can leave hell just by staying there for a number of years equal to your time on earth, that denizens of hell age in reverse, and that some of them use magic and drugs to keep themselves there indefinitely.
 
Bad news regarding volume 6 of this comic. This was published in the official Requiem Vampire Knight Facebook page last month:

"Hi, fang-fans! Unfortunately, I have some bad news. I heard from Pat Mills last week and was informed that due to circumstances beyond our control Volume 6 will be delayed until at least 2017. I'm really sorry and as soon as I have more information I will let you know."
 
It seems that Nickel Éditions is no longer publishing this comic in France and now Glénat is handling the releases. They are distributing new editions of all the volumes with some bonus features and new covers by Olivier Ledroit.

According to Pat Mills, the first of the remaining two volumes will be published next year.
 
Bad news regarding Requiem Vampire Knight, Volume 12.

"Hi there, Fang-Fans.

I have heard back from Glenat, the current French publishers of Requiem Vampire Knight, and they have informed me that: ‘Olivier Ledroit is still working on his current saga, and won’t start working on Requiem before 2019. Publication of volume 12 planned for 2020.’

Sorry, you will just have to be very, very patient.

So look out for our UK edition, Volume 6 that will contain Tomes 11 and 12, in 2020."
 
I must get around to getting back into this series. I've only got the first volume on my bookshelf, but I loved everything about it.
It seems to stand head and shoulders over Pat Mills recent output for 2000AD.
 
Funnily enough, Pat Mills proposed Requiem Vampire Knight as a series for 2000AD under the name The Resurrectionist, but it was rejected by editor David Bishop.
 
It appears that the last volume of Requiem Vampire Knight was delayed again; it will be published in 2022 or 2023. Meanwhile, volume 5 (out of 6, I believe) of Claudia Vampire Knight will be published this year in France.
