Well, maybe TL is not more so an unknown author here in Italy!...
Tonight I was listening at the second radio channel of RAI, our public national radio/TV network, when I stumbled in the unexpected name of Thomas Ligotti.
In a programme called Dispenser, the speakers began introducing Ligotti's life and works... An introduction which was paraphrased, without quoting it, from my own brief essay on Necro quarterly magazine, available on web. After that, the presentation of the first Fox Atomic's comic book The Nightmare Factory, published in Italy by Free Books as La fabbrica degli incubi, with a reading of a synopsis from "Dream of a Mannikin". Finally, the connection between TL and Current 93, with the conclusive listening of "Sunset (The Death Of Thumbelina)" from Black Ships Ate the Sky.
For italian readers (I am sure that some of them are "lurking" here around!), I can see that there is a page of podcast to download and re-listen it from the website of the programme Dispenser, for a week starting from tomorrow 9/24: http://www.radio.rai.it/radio2/podcast/lista.cfm?id=910.
Post scriptum: alas, the short part with the presentation of TL and the book was cutted off by the 25-minutes podcast online. There is only a final consideration on the speaker's mispelling of the name "Cthulhu"!
