You Don't Know Jack (2010)

Al Pacino stars in this enthralling biopic that focuses on the life of Dr. Jack Kevorkian, the controversial physician who boldly advocated the legalization of euthanasia and personally helped over 100 terminally ill patients commit suicide. Directed by Hollywood veteran Barry Levinson, this drama co-stars Susan Sarandon as vocal activist Janet Good and John Goodman as Kevorkian's trusted friend and supporter Neal Nicol.

I have some interest in this subject matter, and Jack Kevorkian seems like a very interesting figure, but I must admit to being put off the film by the fact that the lead role is taken by Al Pacino. I wonder how many times he's going to say "Hoo-hah!" in this role.

I've seen this, actually. It was a rather enlightening experience.

I have never experienced Dr. Kevorkian in person, but from what little I have seen of him and read by him, I think that Pacino did justice to him.

You should try it, Quentin. A deglamourized Al Pacino gives a fine performance in this role. No "Hoo-hahs" as far as I remember.
