Your favourite song at the moment..

My parents listened to Superunknown by Soundgarden a lot when I was a kid. I have fond memories of this album but I started to pay attention to the lyrics much later, when I was comfortable enough with English.

The title song wasn't my favourite, but I realize I have underrated it.

"Alive in the superunknown / First it steals your mind, and then it steals your soul"

It's not often I run into an artist that actually rattles my insides, but Sophia Isella is doing spectacular work. Incredible artist, especially at such a young age.

They are certainly an interesting duo, their sound in some ways descended from the No Wave groups of old. I detect elements of or comparisons to Mars, DNA, Half Japanese, Etron Fou, and Ruins. It's said that "there's nothing new under the sun", but to me, there are new combinations of older things. Angine de Poitrine is a brilliant new combination.

For those interested in getting their LPs or CDs, good news: the two albums are being reissued (I pre-ordered both on CD).
After Cnev's OP, I searched for copies of their albums and found that the original issues are quite rare.

I rencently dicovered The Paper Chase and I definitely need to listen to more songs. This is the first one I have heard and I am strangely seduced.
