Quentin S. Crisp

Hi,

I've recently discovered this very talented writer, and I'm trying to find a copy of "The Nightmare Exhibition", his first collection of short stories, issued by BJM Press in 2001. I almost snatched a copy on abebooks (Mythos Books apparently had one for sale), but the moment I placed my order, it was already gone...

Anyone here knows where I could purchase a copy?

Thanks

There is one copy at bookfinder.com for $15.57. I doubt it will last very long.

That was from Mythos Books. Still listed, but unavailable...

Thanks anyway!

If you can't get hold of a copy of The Nightmare Exhibition, there's supposed to be another collection coming out from Rainfall Press soon. I don't know when exactly. It's all previously unpublished material and it's called Rule Dementia!.

It's paperback, so it should be a bit cheaper than the Tartarus collection.

Thanks for the info!

I think the Tartarus collection was not that pricey, considering the quality of production of the book (as usual from Tartarus). And it may end up in a more wallet-friendly edition, as the paperback version of The White Hands by Mark Samuels. It would deserve to sell as quickly as the Samuels, don't you think?

As for the forthcoming Rainfall Books collection, I'm sure I'll grab a copy of it as soon as it is issued (but I'll continue to hunt down for a copy of Nightmare Exhibition...)

No, I don't think it's that pricey, really. And Tartarus books tend to appreciate in value, anyway. Yes, I think that Morbid Tales is something of a find. I shall be interested to see how he develops from here. It's hard to place quite where he belongs. There doesn't seem to be much about him on the internet as yet. I notice Mark Samuels wrote the intro for MT.

By the way, I think The Nightmare Exhibition is not quite as good as MT. It will certainly be a collectors' item, though, if he carries on in this vein. It's an interesting concept, too. I won't give too much away.

Hello ElHI. Thanks for posting that link. I just thought that, since I add more entries to the journal fairly regularly, and the entry on Ligotti will inevitably slip further and further down the screen, I should post a link to the entry itself.

Quentin,
I put a link to your essay-like, journal-like text project ;) on my German Ligotti website, too. Hopefully a lot of people will find it in the labyrinths of the internet.
Eddie

Thank you, Eddie. I'll get that biog material to you soon, by the way. Sorry for the delay.

Sorry to... er... interrupt. I have news that Rule Dementia! will be released in February or March. I'll probably put something up on my blog about it closer to the time.
