For myself - the most quintessential and obvious Prog album is King Crimson's "Red" .... I'm sure it's logically sitting on the top of mnany people's list - but it took me a while to hear this one, after only really hearing King Crimson's debut album (and not enjoying it).

It's a shame that the debut album is most peoples gateway, I think it has a lot to do with the strength of the amazing title track but I listened to Red first because I had a really good feeling about its reputation and I feel like most fans probably consider it a better album. |
