Awfully Quiet

What's your excuse?

If I were not so barkative, I would say the muzzle. Ah, the Gravy Train is rounding the bend, at last...

I swear that I live with a chew-chew with a one-track mind!

Great topic -- finally something to really talk about.

Um, well, at least my current excuse is that I've been obsessed with reading of all Earl Doherty's Website on "The Jesus Puzzle." Maybe you can see that, this being Christmas and all, people in general probably don't care to talk about how the Saviour of us all was just a myth and not a historical person.

Given our nature, I would rather deem such a Revelation as smacking of just irony which we should humor the enlightened as opposed to ironic justice which should mock The Enlightened. My point, should I have failed to impale myself upon it, is that The Bible is in the least a darn good yarn and ultimately truth is in the guise of the deceiver. There now, I rest my case in a cozy bed of senseless riddles. We each make our own nest, it seems, and comfort is a delicate delicacy. Merry Christmas!

Oh sure, Christmas is a keeper. I just watched the History Channel special on it. It''s never been just about religious tradition anyway...

We return you now to the awful silence.

Alright, alright. You win. Or was I in agreement all along? That is the beauty about spewing ambiguities . . . you can always resort to selective memory to align mentalities.

Drat! Is it too late to change my alignment, or have I been condemned to eternal damnation? We now return you to the entropy in progress.

EDIT
We now interrupt this prognosis in progress to relay an important Messiah. I have just been imposed upon by a Revelation. Television is the most unholy of Hosts, regardless of reception. The Martyr is the one without representation. Vote Absolver. It just feels right.

I wasn't clear enough, I guess: I'm of good cheer for finding something -- this reading I'm doing -- to keep me going for a while. (BTW, Jesus needn't have existed historically to be a good thing in himself.) I was also checking out Robert M. Price, who as some of you will know is a Lovecraft expert. But he's a New Testament scholar too, and I saw him talking about Jesus; you can find it on YouTube. He looks like Santa Claus and is about as jolly. TV documentaries are my friend...except for 90% of commercials and that damn quick-flash editing style of the last umpteen years.

Now playing Mozart's Solemn Vespers -- solemn?, what a laugh, they're positively aloft with sonic glory and righteous cheer.

I have no excuse really for my silence. the semester is over, and I'm on winter break. bleh. I'll use some lyrics from an Ulver song stolen from a Baudelaire poem (i believe)..."not knowing how to express myself without using pagan words, I prefer to remain silent."

of course, the "pagan" bit being ironic given the above discussion

*cough*
