Re: Ex Occidente Press
It gives me great pleasure to able to announce, or at least be the first to post about, a new forthcoming work from one of the last literary lights of this dark age: Mr Mark Valentine. In collaboration with John Howard we present to you:
A work different from those that have gone before and a work which heralds new dawns. |
Re: Ex Occidente Press
Thank you kindly, Daniel. It feels like my life will end with this book. With due respect to all the authors I've been working with in these last two and a half years, I cant really expect to publish a more astonishing piece of work than The New Imperial Atlas of Europe.
I really do feel this should be my last book. More details will follow soon. Until then, however, a quick update on the first wave of books to be out this Autumn / Winter. Those who pre-ordered: Tarshishim by Ron Weighell [Box Set] Alcyone by Colin Insole Sangria in the Sangraal by Rhys Hughes expect your copies to be shipped by 25-26 October, 2011. Finally, for those looking to buy one 100% complete set of the Ex Occidente Press and Passport Levant, please contact Simon Gosden at simon@fantasticliterature.com for more details. 36 volumes, exclusive editions, including several inserts and alternative dust-jackets, never made public before. 36 volumes - the history of the contemporary fantastic literature according to the Inmost Occidentals. Hello,
That's the problem with the printers and with the dead. You can't negotiate with them. "I light a taper for you; you see me all right" just does not seem to work these days. When I've heard the boss at my printer house signed a big, fat contract with a Romanian Bank owned by the State mid October, I knew I was doomed. Delays. So happened that although my new books should have been out from their office for at least two weeks now, they are still at the binding house. The good news in all this is that the new batch of volumes are actually all printed and they should finally be on their way to the customers very early next week. In the meantime, a few sneak peaks at some of the new books. Since Christ Mass is approaching fast and my U.S. customers are certainly having heart palpitations about the mail services, I have a suggestion to them. If you want your new books or recent orders to be delivered to you early in December, I can have your copies shipped to my official dealer in America, Mark Ziesing and he will forward them to you. I am already mailing Mark copies of all these new books - Express Mail - so I can certainly add other U.S. orders to his boxes. This is just to make sure you will get these books in time for Christ Mass gifts, reading, etc. If you think it is a good suggestion, send me a private mail and I will take care of it from there. Finally, a few details about Mark Valentine and John Howard new collection from Ex Occidente Press, copy/pasted from the latest Newsletter sent this week to my mailing list. SECRET EUROPE John Howard / Mark Valentine 25 stories (10 by John Howard and 15 by Mark Valentine): a secret of authorship that awaits exploration by the reader. The first thirty customers will receive their copy together with an old vintage European postcard signed by both authors. For more details, please send an email to exoccidente@gmail.com i. Re: Ex Occidente Press
Can't wait to get my hands on Secret Europe.
I note that its one copy per customer.. hopefully Fantastic Literature or Cold Tonnage will also be stocking copies? I ask as I've fallen foul of the post before.. thats not to knock Ex-Occidente themselves, who are putting out marvelous books. |
Re: Ex Occidente Press
The Caruso art for Tarshishim is absolutely magnificent, really stunning. I am considering selling a guitar or something so I can order the set...

Re: Ex Occidente Press
I've just spent the last half hour trying to put names to all the faces on the Secret Europe cover!

Re: Ex Occidente Press
Derek, what a good idea! After the Cafe Morphine competition, perhaps it is time for another one. The first person to name all 32 gents appearing on the promotional cover of Secret Europe will receive a signed copy of the volume and two other books of their choice.
Adam, you want to say you are interested solely in the Tarshishim's Artwork Portfolio? Oh, I can help you with that for free. Draugen, Fantastic Literature will indeed have copies of Secret Europe for sell. Simon will also receive in the next few days copies of the last batch of books I've just released. |
