Ex Occidente is working fast these days; next out will be The Black Cupboard by Claude Seignolle. It's a relatively slim volume, around 80 pages. It is apparently limited to a mere 100 copies, 50 of which will carry a dust jacket. Dan tells me it is one of the finest books published by Ex Occidente so far. Thumbnails are attached. Unfortunately, I cannot get the thumbnail of the dust jacket to work. I'll try and see if I can do that tonight.

I've just ordered another copy of some of Seignolle's stories translated into the English. I haven't received it yet though. The Nightcharmer and Other Stories, I think was its name. A paperback from the early 1970's.

Mr. Ghetu have som other very interesting plans which should be made public in the near future. Something about a young lady from the same place as the one the setting of "The Willows" take place in...

By the way, I, like Rhys, found Quentin's answer extremely well put.

The EOP Seignolle book looks and sounds superb. I enjoyed the 'Nightcharmer' collection yet, assuming you haven't read it already, I have to recommend "The Accursed - Two Diabolical Tales". The first tale "Malvenue" is worth the entrance fee alone ... you can pick up copies pretty cheaply off Amazon too.

Oh wow, that Seignolle book does look beautiful! I've never read any of his work, but I'm definitely intrigued! I'm also very intrigued about the mysterious upcoming plans of Ex Occidente press, I hope they are revealed soon!

It's another winner from a fine press and a fine author.

Mine just arrived, and in fine condition too!

I can't wait for mine. I decided to order from other dealers at this point but I must admitt the one time I did order directly and I did recieve the book in a timely fashion and although it was in an envelope it was wrapped well enough to withstand the torturous journey. I was only discomfited by the lack of promised tracking but alas, it wasn't needed in my case so it all ended well. I still prefer to not have to pay up front however. I do love what Dan is doing and glad things have gotten going again

There, I got the dust jacket so you can somewhat look at it.

TheSingingGarden> Thanks a lot for the recommendation. I considered the title you mentioned, but thought I'd get more value for money with the title I bought. It does look like I should buy both though. Poor bank account.

MadsPLP - Thanks for posting the cover. Looks a very fine edition. Regarding "The Accursed", going off the description it may understandably seem like it contains only two tales, which I had expected to be brief, yet I was pleased to find they are actually of novella length. Sorry, I know I shouldn't be encouraging another's bibliophilia.

Talking of bibliophilia, I just broke down and ordered "Cinnabar's Gnosis" via eBay. Hadn't realised that it's large format, which should make for a most imposing volume. However, for now, I'll be sampling Seignolle with the purchase of a second-hand hardcover of "The Accursed" for about 10% of the price of "Cinnabar" - thanks for the tip!

The Silver Voices Sing of the Land Beyond the Forrest

The John Howard collection has reached print and is up for purchase on the site. Dan has tweaked the contents slightly to focus on the more eclectic and European aspects.

Of all the modern authors of whose work I have not yet read, John Howard is probably the one I am most anticipating.

The John Howard collection looks interesting; I'll definitely be placing an order in the next few days. Anyone else here who hasn't received the Mark Samuels book yet? I've been watching the post for my copy every day, but no package has arrived.

It's nice to see them cranking production up. Anyone have an idea of what's next on the list for summer and fall?
