I've just completed a preliminary read through of the last chapter of "Margaret Again". Maybe 4 or 5 hours of polishing work (tomorrow, the goddess willing) will see the book complete.

Today, I've made a small start on writing "Tuerqui Again". My main problem, at the moment, is deciding how much synopsis material I should include. This arises from my re-writing my former novel "Odalisque" as four novels in the "Warriors of Love" series. "Tuerqui Again" will be the fourth of those, so there is plenty to recap of the story of Margaret/Tuerqui. In fact, the text of the three previous volumes developed from "Odalisque" runs to 1,444 printed pages. If "Tuerqui Again" is to stand as an independent novel, some of that material will have to be covered again. On the other hand, I don't want to burden the book with more synopsis material than is entirely necessary.

Having given the matter some thought, I think that I know (roughly) where I want to go with "Tuerqui Again". The second half (or so) of the book is to be set after the end of "Odalisque". I think that it may take us into stranger territory than any of my previous fiction... developments I'm only just beginning to foresee.

I think that maybe I should write a few fragments for the second half of "Tuerqui Again" before the ideas slip my mind.

This morning, I've given "Tuerqui Again" its preliminary read through. It's shaping up as better than I expected it to be. I'm feeling cautiously pleased with it.

My copy of "Margaret Again" arrived today. After examining it, and correcting a few typos, I've republished the book.

Today, I realised that I started work on "Margaret" on 21st July 2009. Since then, in less than a year, I've written the whole of three novels that thoroughly revise and greatly expand upon "Odalisque". And I've started on the fourth and final one. Crumbs!

I've re-published "Margaret Again".

I've corrected a typo "ensure" for "ensue" on page 96.

I've also changed the cover. It was:

There will probably never be more than two copies of "Margaret Again" with the original cover. If the book ever becomes celebrated, I suppose that those two proof copies are likely to change hands for quite a lot of money.
