Last night, Canadian speed metal band Striker played an amazing concert here in Copenhagen!

Classic speed metal with some classic metal inserted into the mix. Reminded me of Agent Steel meeting Exciter with a dash of Iron Maiden. They are, however, not a retro band, and sound very fresh. Vocalist is very good - they don't make many of his calibre nowadays, sometimes reminiscent of Tom Malicoat of the underrated progressive metal band Lethal. I doubt that TLO'ers are interested in this form of metal, but nevertheless...

I really like this song, which was used as part of the soundtrack of The Devil and Daniel Johnston.

Current 93 performed in Finland for the first time last Sunday. The atmosphere and the energy were indescribable. Without Ligotti, I probably wouldn't have discovered the band and seen this great, great live performance.

This is one of the songs I've been listening to a lot recently. It was the last encore song of the concert.
