Re: Reggie Oliver
Just came home from a lousy day at school/work and found a big box from Centipede Press in the lobby. My copy of Dramas from the Depths has arrived.
What a way to start the week This is my first time reading Reggie Oliver. I feel like I should sacrifice some Easter Peeps in gratitude. Hope everyone else gets their copies as quickly.

Oh, I am so envious! I hope my copy does not take too long to reach me, but one can never tell with Canadian customs.

Re: Reggie Oliver
I desperately ordered a copy on Sunday (April 4th). Saving $25 means everything these days. Other than a story published in Zencore!, this will be my introduction to Mr. Oliver's work, too.

Re: Reggie Oliver
Yea I ordered a copy Saturday, though I have never read Reggie's work. Is he kinda a modern day M.R. James? Seems like. I'm an artist also so the drawings will be cool also. It will be something to pass the time till Conspiracy gets here Anyone know when Conspiracy is shipping btw? I know April but early or late?

M.R. James is definitely in there, but I see a lot of Robert Aickman too. You're in for a treat.

Re: Reggie Oliver
I received the new RO collection put out by Centipede Press yesterday and man, it is one incredible book. It's A LOT of book for the price, and content-wise, well, nothing really needs to be said about it. I had reservations about getting this because I own all of RO's early works, but I am glad I got it. It is a stunner, and is one of those types of books that's almost too beautiful to actually handle and read. It's a very large, very finely crafted book, as are all CP books, and as heavy as a boat anchor. Anyway, if you've been on the fence, I feel comfortable highly recommending this tome.
On a side-note, The Other, by Thomas Tryon, was also re-issued by CP a year or two ago with artwork by Harry O Morris. It's another book, aside from being a great story, is another CP book worth owning. It's stunning.

Much to Jerad's credit, he was very understanding and polite about it, saying a replacement was on its way. As Ascroboius said, this book is HUGE. It might even qualify as being a potentially deadly weapon.

Re: Reggie Oliver
I got my copy today. I just wanted to chime in and echo how wonderfully made this book is. It's like an exquisitely constructed Nightmare Factory for Reggie Oliver. And that's probably an understatement. Can't wait to read out of it in the next few days.
Centipede also sent some cool extras in the box. Besides the giant book, I received a few sample pages of their Dracula, some sketches, and a card signed by Harry O. Morris and a few others. It's a nice surprise. They certainly know how to treat their customers. Like others in this thread, I am lucky enough to have all four of RO's books. I still broke down and ordered this one before the price hike, and I am definitely satisfied. It's one hell of a presentation for a great writer.

I noticed the extra goodies in the box as well. A very pleasant surprise, indeed. It's not often that you get more than you paid for.
